The Power of Coaching: Art and Science
March 2-3, 2017
March 2-3, 2017
The third Carolina Coaching Conference's theme is The Power of Coaching: Art and Science. As practicing or aspiring coaches, human resource professionals, health professionals, consultants, and coaching leaders this conference challenges and expands your thinking about the art and science of coaching.
This year's conference continues the tradition of interactive sessions. The program targets coaching core competencies and offers networking opportunities among fellow coaching practitioners. Our renowned and respected presenters and expert panelists will cover a range of topics including:
Catherine Sanderson, Ph.D., is the Manwell Family Professor of Life Sciences (Psychology) at Amherst College. Professor Sanderson's research examines how personality and social variables influence health-related behaviors, the development of persuasive messages and interventions to prevent unhealthy behavior and the predictors of relationship satisfaction. Her keynote describes cutting-edge research from the field of positive psychology on the factors that do (and do not) predict happiness. Participants learn practical (and relatively easy!) ways to increase their own psychological well-being.
The conference concludes with keynoter Dr. Karen Oldham, a licensed clinical psychologist and senior trainer and facilitator with the Potential Project. Karen runs a 20-year private practice offering psychotherapy, supervision, mindfulness classes, and mindfulness in business. Initially attracted to the neuroscience and research data of mindfulness; health and wellness benefits became a part of her own mindfulness journey. Learn how incorporating mindfulness into the workplace fosters productivity, creativity and resilience.
